A recent thread on the popular Internet discussion and social engagement website Reddit has drawn attention to something that a young and humorous wife chose to do shortly before getting married five years ago. When getting their wedding rings and bands from the jewelry shop, the bride secretly requested a message to be engraved on the inside of her future husband’s wedding band.
The engraved message in question denotes a great sense of humor. The young bride never told the groom about it; he was surprised when he tried the wedding band on and then took it off; the short message, which is engraved in simple cursive writing, simply reads: “Put it back on.”
A friend of the couple posted a picture of the wedding band on Reddit along with a wedding photo and a recent image of the beaming couple with their three children. The pictures along with the story have attracted more than 800,000 views and lots of discussion about what it takes to make a marriage work.

These discussions remark that the wedding photo shows a petite bride who is very happy with her strapping groom; she probably feels safe, protected and very comfortable. Her playful gesture of engraving the wedding band is a sign of adoration; she really wants him to feel that he is truly loved.
The couple has admitted that fun and humor are central aspects of their relationship. In the family portrait taken five years later; the wife looks radiant and the husband looks genuinely happy.
