VIDEO: Who Knew Pouring Cold Coca-Cola Onto Chicken Wings Would Do This! YUMMMY!

Recipes for chicken wings are plentiful, with one of the more unique versions gaining popularity by using a seemingly odd component that’s likely previously been part of any eating of the wings, but in a different manner: Coca Cola.

The recipe calls for the wings to be marinated in soy sauce for approximately 15 minutes. At that point, the chicken should be placed in a pan on the stove before the frying process begins. After each side has been cooked for five minutes, more soy sauce should be added.

After then simmering for another minute, one cup of the Coca Cola should be poured onto the chicken, which is then placed back into the oven to cook for 15 more minutes. Once that’s completed, the chicken is ready to eat, with many people noting how the chicken has a unique taste that’s both sweet and salty.

The recipe was offered online in January of this year, with the inference being that this would make for a perfect offering for a Super Bowl party, with that game being held on February 1.

Others have also posted their own video version of this recipe, even Coca Cola itself has promoted this method of cooking by offering examples of how to do it on their company website.

How the recipe evolved is uncertain, but it’s actually a popular dish in China. In some variations, green onions or vinegar are also part of the mix, as well as toasted sesame seeds and vegetable oil.
