Kids will say the darndest things. They are not shy, they are truthful, and they will tell you what they think. The producers of the show “Kids Say the Darndest Things” have this in mind when they created this funny television special starring Bill Cosby in 1995.
On one occasion, these kids give Bill a little more than he bargains for. In this instance, this four year old youngster named Jake from San Francisco steals the stage right from under Bill. Jake is sitting in a chair that is elevated off of the floor, with Bill standing next to him so that they are approximately the same height. Right from the start it is apparent that this little boy does not sit still for long.
Bill starts out asking Jake how old he is. From there they discuss his baby brother and how to play with him. Without any prompting, Jake tells Cosby that he wants to be a paleontologist. He then begins a very long and passionate and descriptive rant about the dinosaurs and what they are like. Bill, not being able to get a word in, just lets him rant on.
Eventually, Bill helps Jake to the floor and takes the chair himself. Given the freedom of the floor, Jake begins singing “Another One Bites The Dust” while the audience claps along. Jake has now gone back to naming off different dinosaurs and demonstrating how they walked and sounded even getting Cosby to chase him around the stage.
