This Principal Waited Until No One Was Around. What He Decides to Film Himself Doing? Umm

For students and teachers alike, a snow day offers a rare weekday off to stay at home and either enjoy the falling snow or curl up with a blanket and a good book. However, not all faculty members get the day off–principals and janitorial staff alike spend their days on school property even in the middle of a blizzard.

However, you may be wondering what exactly a principal does when there are no students or teachers around. Principal Sean Martin answered that question in what has become a viral video on YouTube. The video showcases what a principal’s snow day looks like, showcasing Martin dancing in the halls in his underwear, shooting baskets without looking, playing with children’s toys and feeding imaginary children. You won’t believe what happens when this principal turns around after making a mess:

He’s unexpectedly caught by the janitor! The video isn’t all fun and games, as Principal Martin issues a special thank you to the janitorial staff at not only at his school but at schools nationwide. These unsung heroes rarely get the praise they deserve, so having Martin specifically thank them during the video was a heartwarming and unexpected touch.

At the end of the video, we get a sense of just how much snow was on the ground as Martin climbs a very steep snow bank to finally return home. Even though this video was originally intended only for the students and staff at Waterloo Elementary School, it has now received over 500,000 views thanks to its humor and positive message. Principal Martin is the principal we all wished we had in high school, and the kids of Waterloo Elementary are a lucky bunch.
