This pregnant horse was doomed to be sent to the slaughterhouse, but a rescue organization took her in before she was sent away. In this video you learn her story and what happened after she was taken in by the big hearted animal lovers.
The soon-to-be mother horse was very anxious, and very pregnant. If it weren’t for the efforts of the Crossfire Equine Rescue group, this horse might not have had her baby at all. Some of the staff members slept in the barn with the horse in order to make her feel as comfortable as possible because when she arrived at the ranch, she wasn’t able to sleep well. The staff made sure that she was pampered and cared for right through birth.
She gained weight after a little while and finally started acting like a horse. Soon, it was time for the mother to deliver her baby. She foaled a beautiful baby horse and made the staff proud. The mother took amazing care of the baby after it was born, you could tell how grateful she was to have her baby with her.
The staff claims that the new mother horse doesn’t leave the baby’s side and feeding and teaching her new little one. This wouldn’t have a happy ending if the rescue group hadn’t stepped in to help, and because of their brave efforts this beautiful mother-foal pair will get to live happy healthy lives.
