Deanna Wolf, mother of Josephina, is quite upset that their local Alabama high school singled out her high school daughter for wearing leggings and a long sweater. While she believes this to be innocent clothing, school officials insisted the Alabama teenager was wearing inappropriate clothing. This resulted in the teenager being ushered to the “discipline room” of the school.
The irate mother, has since published photos on social media – which has gone viral – showing what her daughter wore that day. Additionally she expressed her intense feelings of frustration and anger in her daughter being treated by the school in such a manner.
She believes it gives the wrong message to kids. Wolf felt her daughter was singled out and treated less than that of a male student. In defense, the Communications Director of this particular school believes Wolf’s daughter was not purposefully singled out.
Rather, the action was taken since her clothing attire did not follow the dress code of the school. All students are accountable to the same dress code. Wolf believes it is a wrong action taken on her innocent daughter, while school officials comment that all students are held to the same standards and rules.
