Sanders: Trump Is Getting Nervous Because Working Class Knows He’s A Rich Phony…

What makes Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy so terrifyingly interesting is that he’s gained a great deal of support from working-class people, the very people that his economic philosophies would hurt the most if he was elected. Trump has blamed America’s economic woes on illegal immigrants, but the truth is that America’s economy is plagued by the rich and the greedy. By people just like Donald Trump.

Ironically, Trump has been presenting himself as an “anti-establishment” candidate when, in fact, he’s the very embodiment of the privileged establishment. Trump claims that workers in America get paid too much because he’s never been forced to live off a salary that low. Basically, he’s been saying that if either wages or taxes are too high, the economy suffers – but tax breaks to the extremely rich have created  wage gaps unlike anything America has ever seen. If he and others in his earning class gave higher percentages to the government, the tax burden on the working-class and on business could be reduced and the economy would boom…

Consequently, people who work in jobs such as home-care givers, waiters, and fast food workers could be earning 15 dollars an hour. The candidate has pointed out how ridiculous Trump’s statements, Bernie Sanders, who believes that both large corporations and extremely rich people should pay more taxes. While Trump says that raising the minimum wage would be detrimental to the economy, Sanders counters that the opposite is true and that a higher minimum wage would lead to increased spending power among working people and a more robust economy.

Sanders has pointed out time and again that a very small portion of people in the country control a vast amount of its wealth, and those people aren’t contributing to the greater good of the nation. Instead, they’re supporting candidates like Trump who blame immigrants, the Obama administration, and anyone but themselves in an effort to win votes from working-class Americans.

In reality, Trump’s candidacy is nothing new… It’s just another rich Republican trying to buy the presidency and maintain the status quo for the fellow rich. Sanders, by contrast, has a long record of sincere support of working people and condemning “trickle-down economics”. If elected, Sanders would be the candidate to implement economic reforms that would fix the system that caused the economic meltdown of 2008 in the first place. The rich don’t need any more power, they’ll just abuse it to benefit themselves and that is exactly what Donald Trump would do if he were elected to the White House. Let’s mix it up and get an honest, clear-minded politician in office.
