Pregnant Woman Tracks Down Police Officer on Facebook After How He Treated Her at a Gas Station

Alex Davis is paying it forward after a Forsyth County, Georgia police officer secretly paid for her gas so that she could get home. The young woman, who is 26 weeks pregnant, took to Facebook to try to find the officer, who she says overheard a conversation she was having with her fiance while standing in line to pay at a local Chevron station.

She explained to her fiance that she had scrapped together some money in order to buy enough gas to get home. Because she and her fiance are struggling financially while he looks for a better paying job, pulling together this money was not an easy task.

Overhearing the conversation, the police officer, who was in line in front of the young woman, paid for her gas and left without a word. By the time she realized what had happened, she ran out to thank him, but he was gone.

So moved by this random gesture of kindness, Davis has taken to social media to try to locate the officer. While he wished to remain anonymous, the officer was identified as a member of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department. To pay tribute to this act, Davis has now vowed to pay it forward with the $10 that she otherwise would have used to put gas in her car. In this way, she hopes to encourage others to do the same, starting a ripple effect of kindness.
