Obama’s Approval Rating SOARING – Highest Since Killing of Osama bin Laden

Recent polls show that President Obama’s approval rating is at its highest level in more than five years. The last time Obama’s approval rating was this high was back in 2011 following the raid in Pakistan that resulted in the death of terrorist Osama bin Laden.

A poll was conducted by ABC News and the Washington Post in the wake of the mass shooting in Orlando two weeks ago that left 49 dead. The results showed that 51 percent of American’s approve of the way Obama handles his job as president as opposed to 41 percent who disapprove.

These results coincide with a recent CNN/ORC poll that showed a 52-percent approval rating, which is a five-percent increase since January.

Obama’s recent approval rating is similar to those of Bill Clinton and Ronald Raegan, both of whom had approval ratings of just under 50 percent in their final years in office. In contrast, only 38 percent of American’s approved of George W. Bush in the latter half of 2008 toward the end of his presidential term.

Hilary Clinton may also benefit from the results of the recent polls in her run for office given the fact that she was publicly endorsed by Obama earlier in June. Obama even expects to begin campaigning for Clinton within the next few weeks.

In addition to endorsing Clinton, Obama has recently voiced his disapproval of Republican opponent Donald Trump. While speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Seattle on Friday to support Washington Governor Jay Inslee, he stated that the American public does not have time for charlatans or bigotry.

During his speech at the fundraiser, the President went on to further state:

“And we don’t have the luxury of just popping off and saying whatever comes to the tops of our heads. Don’t have time for that.”
