We’ve all heard about the community college in Oregon that recently experienced a horrifying shooting that resulted in the deaths of several, with many others injured. Many students at the college were trying to reach out to their family members and friends during the violent attack.
One girl sent a ten word text message to her boyfriend just before the psychopath turned on her. Julie, a seventeen year old, was shot 10 times by the murderous freak. He shot the young girl in the head, but he failed to kill her…
Julia is still in critical condition. Julie may have escaped with her life, but only just barely – her brain in swelling and part of her skull is detached. A newspaper spoke with her boyfriend to get a little insight into whom Julie is and what she did while the school was under attack. Apparently the maniac who attacked the students asked each of them if they were a Christian before shooting those who responded. Moments before he shot Julie she sent this endearing message to her boyfriend:
“God morning baby. I’m just getting ready. I love you.”
Julie is a girl with a lot of spirit and a lot of fight. Her and Tyler, her boyfriend, have been dating for two years. With hope perhaps Julie’s health will continue to improve. This is only one terrible story of many in the wake of this aimless violence. How much more tragedy will America allow itself to inflict upon itself before we do something real to curb these massacres? Only time will tell, I suppose. But I’m ready for it to be ended.
