Mom Holds Her Newborn Triplets – A Week Later, She Feels A Searing Pain In Her Chest…

Casi Rott and her husband Joey had not completed their family just yet. They already had two beautiful daughters, Tenley and Chloe, but were eagerly awaiting the birth of their triplets.

By the time Casi was 34 weeks along in her pregnancy her body was feeling the strain from carrying three babies. Casi carried on knowing it wouldn’t be much longer until she was able to hold her precious gifts.

The day Casi had her cesarean section she was able to hold all three angels in her arms. Asher, Levi and Piper sat snugly in the loving embrace of their mother. Casi and her babies required a stay in the hospital until doctors were assured everyone was healthy.

A few days later, on the day Casi was set to be discharged she began to feel a sharp pain in her chest. Doctors determined that her stressful pregnancy and resulting C-section caused a large blood clot to form in her lungs. Casi was prescribed blood thinners and was sent home. The triplets were required to stay for monitoring just a few more days longer.

The babies were just 10 days old when Casi began having more severe chest pains. Joey rushed his wife back to the hospital. But it was too late. That day Casi passed away leaving a devastated husband and five beautiful children.

Tenley and Chloe miss their mom terribly but will have precious memories of their short time together. She leaves behind three sweet babies who will only come to know, by others accounts, how much she truly loved them. Joey must now find the strength to go on, acting as father and mother to five children while trying to grieve for the woman he loved.

After Joey Rott posted a heartbreaking picture of him and his children with the caption “Really missing Casi,” the community rallied around this family of six. A GoFundMe page was created and has since raised close to $145,000 to help Joey in providing for his family.

It is truly amazing to witness how one community and the generosity of others can help this family heal in their time of tragedy.
