Melania’s Lawyers Admit She Wants To Cash In On First Lady Status

Mail Online released a few statements about Melania Trump that she’s not happy with. She has filed a defamation suit because the online magazine claims that she worked as an escort at one time. One of the things that she has to do is to prove that the defamation caused her personal harm. The reason she gives is rather disturbing to many people.

When asked how the claim hurts her personally, Melania has reported that it damages the ability that she has to essentially cash in on being the First Lady. She wants to get $150 million in damages. There are legal aspects to consider as it’s illegal for an official to make money from a government office, which is what Melania seems to be doing.

Melania has lawyers who are working on the case. They have stated that Mail Online has made false accusations about Melania working as an escort. She did have an opportunity to launch commercial products as a well-known individual.

Some of the products include clothing, shoes and accessories. The suit mentions that it’s hard for Melania to carry out being a First Lady or to carry out any further commercial appearances while her husband is in office.
