Dispatcher Gets A Call From Woman Claiming to Be His Girlfriend – But He’s Never Heard Her Voice

In 2015, a woman was kidnapped and taken to a parking lot where she was assaulted. At least, that’s according to reports from herself and officers. Her attacker demanded that she call her boyfriend so that he could hear the assault happen. Instead of calling her boyfriend, the woman called 911.

Deonte Smith is the man who answered the call. He knew what the woman was doing, and he started playing along as her boyfriend so that the attacker would think that she was on the phone with him. This allowed the dispatcher to hear the attack as it happened while still being able to send help.

The entire time Smith was on the phone, he was thinking about his mother and the other women in his life. At one point, Smith talked to the attacker and tried to get him to stop. The entire time Smith was on the phone, he was trying to get information from the caller to send police to the area.

Smith was the only operator on duty that night, and if the woman would have called a few minutes later, she wouldn’t have talked to him because he would have been on his break. The attacker was arrested and charged.
