One mother in Washington state did the unthinkable because she was desperate to get her kids to fall asleep. She gave her children heroin and does not regret doing it. The kids are two, four and six. The woman’s name is Ashlee Hutt, and she was raising the children along with her boyfriend. Ashlee admitted to injecting her children with heroin on multiple occasions. She stated that she did it because she wanted the children to shut up.
The police were notified, and Ashlee and her boyfriend were arrested. The police stated that this is one of the most horrific cases of child abuse that she was seen. Ashlee and her boyfriend are currently awaiting trial.
Detective Ed was one of the police officers who handled the case. He stated that the children made disturbing claims. The six-year-old stated that the mother gave them “feel-good” medicine in order to get them to go to sleep. He also described exactly how his mother injected them with heroin. The six-year-old said that his mother told him he was a bad boy and needed to go to sleep.
Ashlee and her boyfriend are currently facing multiple charges. They have been charged with second-degree criminal mistreatment, second-degree child assault and delivering a controlled substance to a minor. Many people believe that the charges are too lenient. The children could end up addicted to heroin later in their life.
